LO2 - Mood Board for people that like radio

This is the Mood Board for people who like radio. I have shown people of a variety of different ages and genders as I believe that talk radio is accessible to most people. I have also included several ways that people can listen to such media products. Including Car Radio, Satellite Radio, iTunes or as a regular mp3 download. 

LO2 - Audio Product Ideas

Podcast:

Weather Update:Within this podcast it will be a short podcast that lasts around 5 minutes focusing on one specific area/location and the weather that has been predicted throughout the day this podcast would be uploaded very early in the morning as it would save people having to wait for the weather report to appear on the television or radio as they would be able to download it onto their iPod or mp3 device instantly in the morning and listen to it whenever they have a spare moment throughout their day as it has been already downloaded. The main content would be the weather throughout the day in a specific hour and an update on what it would be with each our throughout the day with a possible advertisement at the end of the show to help support the audio product another thing this would entail could be major news events that have happened throughout the day throughout  the world on the previous day. An idea for a title could be "The Morning Podcast" as it would be pointless listening to this at night after every five episodes uploaded one would be deleted. the unique thing about this would  be the fact it i son longer than 10 minutes 

Radio show:

For a radio show I would like to do a music style show. Now the idea could be to choose a specific band or artist and focus on them for a specific amount of time (depending on how long the show is). I would like to do this idea as I would choose bands and artists that interest me. 

LO2 - Podcasts to Develop

Idea 1

The first product I have chosen to develop is the podcast I have chosen to develop this idea because it appears to be quite changeable in format and ideas and it is something that is fairly interesting as the news effects everyone. Also the research to make this wouldn't be too difficult because the news and weather is readily available online and updated hourly.

Idea 2

The second one i have chosen to do is the "Charles Hamilton Tribute Podcast" idea which is about celebrating the enigmatic career of musician Charles Hamilton. I have decided to develop this idea due to the fact I think it would get quite a niche following, to an underserved audience. Which is something that Sheffield Live specialises in.

We make it original

Making the product original is something that is very valuable in my eyes for an audio media product. As things that are original in the world of radio and media have proved to be very successful. The Howard Stern show was the first of its kind and resulted in him being one of the most popular figures in all of radio, and remain one of the most relevant personalities in radio.

If it appeals to the local community

Appealing to the local community is vital to a broadcaster such as Sheffield Live due to the fact that there entire point is being a creative outlet for the local community, who want to have a presence on radio. Making it simple for them once they pass a few courses. Also appealing to the local community is important as that is where it is mostly broadcasted to.
