Our Contingency plans for if Dylan Eggbeat doesn't work out , due to people being ill.
or Sheffield Live not liking our idea. Would be to go with my original idea which was the weather Podcast as this would serve a purpose to the local community even though it wouldn't be as creative to do. This idea is more achievable and less complex than Dylan Eggbeat, but I don't think it would draw in such an audience the size of Dylan Eggbeat which is why we are sticking with Dylan Eggbeat.

LO5 - Financial Breakdown and Budgeting
The Equipment we will be needing is a microphone that will cost £50.00, the microphone is a vital piece of equipment to record a high quality sounding audio media podcast. The headphones will cost £20.00 which we need to be able to hear the podcast during the editing product. The mixing desk for a show like this is very important, as there will be lots of sound effects used and background music. The mixer will be to adjust the volume for each effect we want to use, this will cost around £235.00. And finally we will need a PRS License which will cost £100.00 which is vital for a radio show like Dylan Eggbeat as we will be playing lots of different music on the show. Or we could use a recording studio which would cost £80.00 for a session, but the issue with this would be the fact we would have to record the shows in bulk. Therefor leaving a lot of editing left over, this isn't ideal due to the fact we could get tired and worn out, after spending many hours in the studio. The pilot would be ideally done in a studio, then if it is liked we would be funded to get proper equipment. This will be cheaper in the long run. LO5 - Legal and Ethical and Copyright
Legal and ethical issues
Dylan Eggbeat is a pretty tame show so there should be no controversy and it will be shown before the watershed as it isn't any real issue. Because it doesn't really deal with any mature themes such as sex, alcohol or drugs.
Copyright
To avoid any copyright issues I will need a PRS license which I can purchase, this means we can play music from anybody because Dylan Eggbeat will require some music. A PRS license will allow us to play any music we want on the air, this will cost £300 and will have to be renewed annually.

It is a very
good idea, very clear and very funny. I like the creativity of the idea, as it
is different and gives the audience something new to hear. The target audience
is very good however first glance 10 seems to young but with the sci-fi type
adventures it does tie very well with that age range. I like the time of day as
it is early for early risers but I think that it would be better if it was two
times a day like later in the evening for people who missed it in the morning.
But apart from that BRILLIANT!- Alex J

Name or title of program:
The Morning Podcast
Length of show:
6 minutes so it doesn't take up too much of
Genre or type of program:
Factual
Brief description /
synopsis:
Within
this podcast it will be a short podcast that lasts around 6 minutes focusing on
one specific area/location and the weather that has been predicted throughout
the day this podcast would be uploaded very early in morning as it would save
people having to wait for the weather report to appear on the television or on
the or radio as they would be able to download it onto their iPod or mp3 device
instantly in the morning and listen to it whenever they have a spare moment
throughout their day as it has been already downloaded. The main content would
be the weather throughout the day in a specific hour and an update on what it
would be with each our throughout the day with a possible advertisement at the
end of the show to help support the audio product another thing this would
entail could be major news events that have happened throughout the day
throughout the world on the previous day. An idea for a title could be
"The Morning Podcast" as it would be pointless listening to this at
night after every five episodes uploaded one would be deleted. The unique thing
about this would be the fact it would not be longer than 6 minutes.
Production method: c Live c Recorded c Both
Target audience: basically
people that have to get up for work everyday and don’t have time to watch the
news or weather

In order to
improve your treatment document you need to explain how your product fits into
the genre and mention if there is a subgenre/type of program. (eg:
